They stated that they were looking for local Inland Empire companies to cross promote and that they were also BIG fans of Spider Energy Drink. Naturally we found this event to be a great fit for us as we are a team of musicians, and fans of all types of music. That being said we gladly accepted, and not only will Spider Energy Drink be the Official Energy Drink of the Official Street Music Awards, we will also be presenting an award with great honor…Music and videos are still being accepted so don’t delay, get you entries in ASAP and who knows, maybe the guys and gals at Spider Energy will be the ones presenting you winning award.

So with that being said I regularly head out to local clubs in seek of some butt kicking tunes.

Don’t get me wrong I do enjoy radio play music, but why is it that the radio has to play the same 20 songs over and over and over again? With so much awesome talent in the world and some of the best local bands right here in Southern California, there are so many great options available to experience some killer music.

So on this particular one Saturday evening my good friend “JT” (the front man from the popular Inland Empire band XNO) and I went to a local club in Yucaipa, CA. Jamming this evening was a band from The O.C named OCTANE MOB. Now I’ve seen these guys before and when I did I realized they rocked the house, however the club I saw them at before was very small and the stage and acoustics were not that desirable. Knowing that the stage at this other place is much larger and that the sound system and acoustics are way better that the prior place, I made it a point to check these guys out again. No I’m not a critic by all means, but besides beverages my second passion is music.

So, what did I experience when the MOB hit the stage? Strong aggressive guitar riffs, Super shredding leads, bone chilling bass and drumming as intense as a stomping rhino. All that topped off with a front man lead singer that not only sings, but does so while laying down some killer guitar chords and pretty intense leads.

Octane Mob is one of my top pics for local talent and I highly recommend them to anyone that is looking for a band that plays rock & roll metal music as intense as the great taste and energizing effect as Spider Energy Drink.

Attackhead is described as Skull crushing heavy metal with an old school Edge. The annual Rock ’n’ Roll Fantasy Camp was an awesome event that is put on each year by producer, founder David Fishof and his team. This year’s music icons and rock legends included Michael Anthony, Bret Michaels, Lita Ford, Dave Mason, Lemmy Kilmister, and many other amazing artists that jammed with campers and shared their time and stories with everybody at RRFC.  The counselors once again did an amazing job leading their bands! They came together to put on a kick-a** All Star jam at the opening and closing night concerts.  In addition, there was an auction the final evening at the Key Club, where thousands of dollars were raised for the Red Cross, to go towards Haiti relief.
We at SPIDER ENERGY DRINK are glad we were able to be part of this awesome event. We heard so many great comments about how the campers really enjoyed the product, including comments like “it was the SPIDER ENERGY DRINK that got me through the many 12 hour days” WOW 12 hours…That’s 7 hours more than that other energy drink shot thing and it taste great too!

Citrus city Grill in Corona, CA was the backdrop setting for the new video footage. Owner Steve and his crew were very accommodating and the overall experience was awesome!

The videos that were shot were to update the SPIDER LOUNGE, SPIDER GIRLS AND SPIDER MUSIC tabs on the website. Actress and Model Lindsay who will be seen in upcoming movie blockbuster Iron Man 2 as one of the super sexy dancers, will be featured in the SPIDER LOUNGE section of the website, where she will be seen making some popular cocktails using SPIDER ENERGY DRINK for you adult consumers. In addition, Lindsay will also be featured on the SPIDER GIRLS section of the website, where she will be informing potential new Spider Girls on how they too can become a SPIDER GIRL.

On the SPIDER MUSIC section of the website, we shot two scenes of Monster from the Inland Empire rock band Jugulur. Yes his name is Monster and he drinks SPIDER ENERGY DRINK!

The video is being professionally edited this week and should be posted by March 1st.

To make sure the video shoot went smooth, we commissioned director and star Peter Dills of the TV food show ”Dinning With Dills” on KJLA TV.

The SPIDER ENERGY DRINK  team and members from our supporting bands JUGULUR, NYC, XNO and the STEVE BURROWS BAND, as well as many newly signed bands were in attendance for an awesome week of rock & roll…Throughout the event, no matter where one went there was someone either wearing a SPIDER ENERGY DRINK  t-shirt or drinking/holding a can of SPIDER ENERGY DRINK, not only at the NAMM Convention, but at many of the after parties as well. By the final day we received countless thank you comments, e-mails and text from attendees telling us that it was the SPIDER ENERGY DRINK that got them through the week. While no energy drink will replace sleep, SPIDER ENERGY DRINK sure helps when in need. 

A sincere thank you to all of our supporting bands, artists and everyone that lended a hand to make this week’s event great!

And the road crew – long before and after the show these guys and gals have the task of setting it all up and tearing it all down. While nothing replaces a good nights sleep, when you are tired and need that extra little kick or BITE we like to say, Spider energy Drink is here for you! We planned on having a booth of our own, but the people of NAMM said we were not allowed due to the fact that we are an energy drink and not a manufacture of musical equipment, hardware or gear. So what’s a spider to do? We will supply Spider Energy Drink to all of our endorsed artists for their drinking pleasure. It will be really interesting to see how the NAMM people react to a little gorilla marketing…We know for a fact that some other musical equipment will have other energy drink brands, as well as some teas, juices, etc. So if Spider gets the boot we will raise hell like the rock an rollers we are. All we want is to be able to support our endorsed bands and musicians. Is that too much to ask NAMM?

So for those of you attending the event, please look for us wherever you see XNO, Jugulur, NYC, Boomer and Steve Burrows.
